A dream come true - IQ Sounds is now online!

I've kept this as quiet as possible over the past few months hoping to give a nice surprise to everyone.

When I started producing music, it was always a goal of mine to have my own independent label to both market my own productions as well as my friends who wanted to come on board and were willing to put in the work.

This weekend we launched IQ Sounds. This is an indie label focused on providing the world with unique and intelligent electronic entertainment. It will not be limited to a specific genre and it will also not be limited to just music.

It is my belief that self-expression is one of the healthiest therapies out there. IQ Sounds will be the avenue of expression that many of us have searched for.

It is really impossible for me to thank Will enough for his work. As with my personal site he is the designer and creator of the platform. I will be doing all of the site updates and content modifications but he definitely gets all the credit for the look and feel of the site itself. Thank you bro

During this week I will be updating the site content, posting some original mixes and tracks to the site, and creating a unique podcast feed. Of course I will post all of that information as soon as it is completed. In addition I'll be making a myspace account and ask that all of you add us once that account is setup. I will also start the process of getting the tracks for sale on iTunes, Beatport, and any other retailer I can find. I will be selling the tracks directly on the site too ( have to figure that part out).

I am extremely excited about the future for this label. I truly believe with enough hard work anything is possible. I'm hoping that this is the start of something really awesome.

Website Updates

I've done a few pretty neat things to my website. Thanks to the help of a friend I have installed a flash-based media player that will stream files directly from our server. This way, you can listen to things without having to actually download them. I'm thinking this will work great for our record label that we are planning.

Very few people offer full previews of their music making selecting unknown tracks difficult for some shoppers. This is something that we are going to eliminate. In a record store, you can listen to the whole vinyl before you buy it; That is what we are going to do with our label.

As always, we will give out our mixes for free as they are just for promo. Think of them as a musical resume.
