Ho Ho Ho

Another holiday passed and it was a success. I really enjoyed time with the family and friends. We ended up getting pretty crazy a few nights but still made it home safely. I did experience two of the worst hangovers I’ve ever had though. I don’t think I am supposed to be drinking alcohol; my body hates it.

I am putting up some of the pictures from our holiday tomorrow so check the pics section soon. I thought of my mom often as I do every Christmas. I tried to picture what she may have been doing or if she was watching us as we ate brunch and opened presents at my grandma’s house. I sure hope she was.

I miss Angie tremendously. She has been with her family in Texas for her niece’s first Christmas. I go pick them up tomorrow night. We agreed not to spend any more holidays apart as it was really lonely without her. We are really excited about New Year’s coming up. Then we go to the Keys in just a few weeks. We really do live an exciting life.

Post-Party Wrap Up

Wow, the party was a success.

My step mother did a great job putting together everything and those that brought food did not disappoint. In all, the party was exactly what they had hoped it could be. As usual I drank too much and was sick the next day. As usual Angie looked smoking hot and made me look good. As usual we were extremely obnoxious but loved every second of it.

For those that would like to see the pictures, visit
My Website and click on "Family Pictures". The first album will be "Holiday Party 05" and the full spread is in there.

Look at my date; how did I ever get so fortunate?

Hump Day

So it's another Wednesday and I'm getting attacked by Z's. I hate when you
really want to sleep but can't. It's a cruel joke that God is playing on
me and I'm farting in my chair on purpose to combat him.

I had a really nice lunch with my boss today. We discussed my future and
career options, etc. It was a very productive talk and I am rejuvenated
about my position here and what kinds of options I have within the next 6
months.

I am missing Angie a lot as she's been in Jacksonville for the past few
days. She comes back tomorrow thankfully and we have an exciting weekend
planned.

It's hard to believe that christmas is so close. I love the holidays.

Getting Closer

One thing that sucks about working is that you never really get the build
up of the holidays like you did when you were in school and you actually
had time off. You could sit around and see the christmas movies and hang
out at the mall with your friends. You actually got to kind of ramp up
with the rest of society.

Being that most jobs are so monotonous, I almost feel like christmas is
just going to pop up out of nowhere. Thankfully I do have 5 days off right
then.

This weekend we are going to our family's first ever cocktail party. It
should be a lot of fun and I'll post some pictures of the event. I'm
really looking forward to a long, relaxing weekend. Next week will be very
short but sad as Angie leaves for Texas to be with her family for the
holiday. We have agreed that next year we won't make the mistake of doing
our own thing. We have a great new years planned though so that should
make up for some of the downtime around christmas.

I'm still battling the 'get in shape' mentality. I have promised Angie and
myself that I'm putting the effort forth this time and I'm not going to
rush it. It's a total life change for me as I'm used to eating whatever I
want and still being in shape. Amazing how quickly that can change when
you get a desk job.

Holiday Season

I must say that 2005 has actually gone extremely fast. I can’t believe that I am going Christmas shopping next week. The weather in Orlando is very nice lately. With the exception of a few grey days, we have not had our A/C on in almost 3 weeks. We also haven’t had the heat on either. It’s one of my favorite times of the year right now. Everyone seems to be a little happier in anticipation of seeing family and old friends. Most of my friends and family get just as excited about giving gifts as they do receiving them because they are good people.

Angie and I may be postponing the hunt for a new home until March or April due to our landlord making us a good offer to stay until they can sell the house. Work is going pretty good; I just got a new laptop and am really enjoying it. Orbital Grooves continue to grow and we have some great ideas for 2006. I hope for us to grow in the areas of podcasting and exclusive sets by some bigger names.

All in all this should be a very exciting holiday season. We have tons of activities planned including a new year’s party here in Orlando at Epcot. It’s really rewarding to have so many things to look forward to. It makes sitting here at work worth the long hours.
