The Plan
After purchasing a new CD Deck and realizing how much I love to stay current with music, and that most of the music I really enjoy may never get pressed to vinyl, I came up with the following plan/goal for myself:
- Starting within the next week, I am going to begin the process of moving the records that I want onto my hard drive. I have plenty of room there for them, and they would be ripped into a smooth, cd sounding mp3 file. This process will take a long time because I have 600 records and about 450 of them I would want to rip.
- After I rip all the vinyl, I am going to sell them along with my two turntables and keep the cdjs. I am then going to purchase the Technics Digital Tables (slz-1200). The money from the sale of the vinyl and turntables will more than pay for the cost of the digital decks. Then my studio from a performing dj perspective will be complete. I will then look to seriously upgrade my keyboard and get a good drum machine.
I am very excited about making this happen J
